Durham's Parent and Kid's number one online guide,, is looking to add another Sales and Advertising rep to our team.

About the position is looking for an energetic  person, a Mom or Dad , or Grandparent would be great, who is not only familar with what Durham has to offer kids and families, but that is creative and can find new markets as well.

 Work from home. Hours are flexible, but some of your hours must be between the hours of 8-5pm on weekdays. You must be able to dedicate a minimum of 5 hours a week to this position to see results. Some of your work can be done through email, but making cold calls is a daily requirement, so you really do need time during the day when the house is quiet.  Compensation for this position is commission-based.

If your kids are at school or daycare and you have a few hours a day with a quiet house, might be perfect for you.

  • good networker who is not afraid of cold calling both large and small businesses and speaking with VPs
  • some sales experience
  • good computer skills and very web savvy
  • positive person with professional and upbeat phone manner
  • understands the benefits of web-advertising
  • independent & self starteer- able to create your own schedule, find your own leads and close deals
  • dedicated phone/cell phone (you don't need a  new line but this can be your own cell phone You just need something that your kids don't answer)

Your primary duties will include
* finding new advertising/sales prospects and closing sales
*finding new ways to promote
*tracking prospects and reporting
