Just in time for your dash to the stores, here they are, the Canadian Toy Testing Council's best of lists.
Well, the results are in, and just in time for the start of the Christmas shopping season. Yes, the Canadian Toy Testing Council (CTTC) has announced its top toy and book picks for 2007.
According to Leigh Poirier, CTTC Executive Director “This year’s top awards reflect stylin' toys that provide substantive play for imaginative children,”.*
Every year the Canadian Toy Testing Council selects hundreds of toys and books to test and then publishes their ever popular lists to help parents and grandparents as we trek to the stores in search of the perfect gift.

The Canadian Toy Testing Council is a non-profit organization with over 50 years’ experience of learning through play. The Council tests toys for durability, safety, design, function, ease of assembly, battery consumption and overall play value. According to Ms. Poirier, the CTTC is the “oldest independent toy evaluation organization in Canada, with the most intensive testing program”. “Over 1,000 children, ages three months to sixteen years, test toys and review children’s books for the Council on an ongoing basis”. *(source: http://www.toy-testing.org/content/PressReleases/20061102toptoys.htm)
