So, what are you waiting for? Let's make a pop-up groundhog puppet with the kids!
Craft items you will need:
- Toilet paper roll
- Green paint
- Brown crayon/marker
- White paper
- Craft stick
- Ground hog template (optional)
Have the children paint a toilet paper roll green.
Next, have the children paint a craft stick green.
Drag the Groundhog Template image to your desktop, and print on white paper or have the children draw a Groundhog of their own.
After that, with a brown crayon, have the children color in the Groundhog.
Using scissors, have the children cut out and then glue the Groundhog to the top of their craft stick.
Then, have the children insert the craft stick into their toilet paper roll.
Lastly, show the children how to make the Groundhog go up and down, as if it is looking for its shadow.
And, voila! The children have now made pop-up preschool Groundhog Day puppet craft!
