Here is the thing--.November is really nothing November. Giving thanks, Spooky Halloween behind us, the beautiful colours of fall fading fast, coolness setting in, and nobody is quite ready for Christmas (other than the merchants of course.)

With "Nothing November" squished between Thanksgiving and Christmas, what a great month to cushion our local organizations that feed and provide resources to the needy--call it needy November, or even better "Needlessly Needy November". It will be a great day when these resources are no longer needed!

So for Needlessly Needy November I have decided to donate food items and toys to the Simcoe Hall Settlement House in Oshawa to go towards their Christmas Hampers. These hampers are put together with donated items and given to families in need before Christmas.

Yes it is only November, but the families in need begin registering for the hampers starting the first week of November. It is never too soon to start helping out.

This is only one organization of so many that are looking for donations and volunteers..

So what are you going to do for Needlessly Needy November?
