I love Easter, but I'm not crazy about decorating eggs. I would be if I could keep them forever--without having to blow them out. Because I just haven't gotten that figured out yet. So we decorated rocks this year instead. They turned out pretty cute, and we get to keep them forever, too.
Nature Craft Idea: Painted Rock as Easter Eggs
First, we went on an egg hunt; an egg-shaped rock hunt that is.
Then we washed them up good and let them dry overnight. (This took hours and might have been even more fun for my daughter, Priscilla, than painting them!)
Paint Rocks with Q-tip Cotton Swabs
I put a coat of pastel spray paint on them and let them dry. Then we went to town adding patterns and colour with our cotton swabs and bright paint!
