Categories: Parent Picks

Just because the summer is winding down, doesn't mean the fun has to. There is still a lot of fun to experience every weekend at Canada's Wonderland and it's less than an hour drive from Durham Region.

If you haven’t been to Canada’s Wonderland lately, or perhaps you’ve never been, don’t miss out any longer – plan a trip. Summer may be coming to an end, but the fun at Wonderland keeps going well into the fall on weekends culminating with their famous Halloween Haunt.

Canada’s Wonderland has something for every age group, which is what makes it the perfect family destination. It doesn’t matter if you have teens that love the speed of the roller coaster, or toddlers or preschoolers who can’t get enough of the fun with Dora’s Doon Buggies, or the school aged kids who love Scooby Doo’s Haunted Mansion in Hanna Barbera Land.

Our kids can’t get enough of Hanna Barbera Land. My four year old son's favourite ride is Jokey's Jalopies, because he loves that he can 'steer' the car, and my six year old daughter can't get enough of Taxi Jam, which is a great pint-sized coaster. Both kids also absolutely loved the live show "Marty's Party". It runs several times a day and is about 20 minutes long. If you're kids are anything like mine, they'll love the potty humour, the belching and especially the marshmellow fight.

This fall, if your kids are a little young for Halloween Haunt, why not take the little ones to the Halloween Family Fun Event running weekends from October 3 to November 1.
