The Toronto Zoo is Canada’s largest Zoo, home to more than 5,000 animals, representing 450 species. The Toronto Zoo is committed to fighting extinction and connecting people to wildlife.

 

The Toronto Zoo is Canada’s largest Zoo, home to more than 5,000 animals, representing 450 species. Set in the beautiful Rouge Valley, with over 10 km (six miles) of walking trails, the Zoo is divided into seven zoogeographic regions: Indo-Malaya, Africa, the Americas, Australasia, Eurasia, Canadian Domain and the Tundra Trek. Animals are displayed indoors in tropical pavilions and outdoors in naturalistic environments, with viewing at many levels.

 

The Toronto Zoo is committed to fighting extinction and connecting people to wildlife, and is a leader in international conservation programs.

NEW for 2019: Special exhibit ‘Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea’ from May-November 2019 where you can see 10 larger-than-life sculptures made completely from plastic found in waterways and oceans around the world. Plus, climb through the trees in our Wild Rouge Zipline & Canopy Tour, take a stroll down under in our Kangaroo Walk Thru or go behind-the-scenes on one of our NEW Wild Animal Encounters.
